No one can quite remember the exact moment Jo and Amanda first met but it was many years ago, and it didn’t take long for an amazing friendship to grow. Through countless glasses of wine, their bond has only deepened. They share a love of cats, art, and food, and one of the standout moments in their friendship was Jo standing by Amanda’s side as a bridesmaid at her wedding to Shane in 2024. Jo is honoured to now have Amanda by hers.

Jo and Carrie have shared more than 20 years of friendship, the kind where secrets are safe, laughter is loud, and loyalty runs deep.

They’ve travelled the world together, from the white-sand beaches of Aitutaki to the ultimate girls’ trip in New York, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Jo knows that Carrie will always have her back, now and well into their future crazy old-lady years.

About ten years ago an unknown interloper boldly purchased the company Gavin and Jim worked for. Matt was armed with spreadsheets and a strictly corporate mindset, so they had their doubts about whether they’d ever train him in the finer points of their very serious craft. Thankfully, they were wrong. Not only did Matthew adapt, he became one of them. Although they no longer work together, they are now the kind of friends you don’t let go of.

Jim is terrible with dates, but he’s pretty sure he and Gavin have known each other for well over a decade now. He’s one of the proud founding members of the Floating Picnic Club, a highly exclusive organisation dedicated to talking nonsense, taking the piss, and steadfastly not catching fish. What they lack in fishing ability, they’ve always made up for in good company, plenty of laughs, and a rock-solid supply of food and beer.
